Eight of our children took part in the performance of The Preston
Passion Play. This was a big scale production involving over 140
actors retelling the Easter story with a modern twist.
The children braved the rain and cold to represent St Joseph’s with
a smile. They were fantastic!
After chatting to the actors the children handed out leaflets to the
waiting crowds. They gathered around Jesus when he was teaching
in the temple scene and they handed out bread to the audience
during the last supper scene.
We followed the play through to the city centre where the story of
Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection continued.

Year 2 enjoyed a trip to Christ the King to help take part in their community project. The children were able to plant bulbs and flowers for the display and also bring one home too! The children were very respectful, thank you!
Last week Mr Kay took the cross country team to a competition at Archbishop Temple High School. Over 160 children ran in two races. The children ran a fantastic race in tough conditions, progressing on last year's results. The team managed a 29th and 31st place in both races. Another sporting achievement for St Joseph's!
