LO: To use conjunctions with subordinate clauses.

Watch the video below (Wednesday 20.1.21 English) explaining how to use conjunctions with subordinate clauses.

Open the attachment (Wednesday 20^th January English).

Task 1: Look at the sentences. Rewrite the sentences and underline the conjunctions.

Task 2: Look at the sentences. Rewrite them and add an appropriate conjunction into the sentence.

Task 3: Write 3 sentences of your own using a subordinate clause, a main clause and a conjunction.

Don’t forget to punctuate your sentence with a capital letter and full stop.

Look at the answer sheet attached to mark your answers.

LO: To add the suffix –ous

A suffix is a group of letter that we put at the end of a word to make a new word.

We add –ous to make words into adjectives. Most of the time when we add –ous we do not need to do anything to the root word. If the root word ends in an e we must drop the e before we add -ous.

Use each of the –ous words to write a sentence.

Can you come up with some silly sentences using more than one word?
