Roman rocky road
To finish our Roman topic we made our own Roman rocky road.
We based this on old Roman roads and made sure it contained all the different layers that these old roads had.
The children enjoyed learning about and then making and eating the road.
Ask your children if they can remember the names of the different layers.
Roman soldier visit
We have been making Stone Age roundhouses. We compared them to our own houses, talking about similarities and differences.
We had a fantastic Stone Age topic day recently - we got to learn all about the stone age including touching artefacts. We also made our own clay pots and cave paintings just like Stone Age people did.
