 Welcome to Year 4B! 

We can’t wait to get started with our learning this spring half term. This half term we have many exciting things planned for the children such as learning all about 'Ancient Egypt' in History with a visit from Mr Egypt!  In Science, we are learning about 'Living things and their habitats' and we will be going on a scavenger hunt for minibeasts! Our class novel is The Ancient Egypt Sleepover.

In Year 4 we place a huge emphasis on learning our times tables as the children will complete the official Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) in June. It is important that the children continue their learning of times tables at home.  To help with this, the front page of their homework book has a QR code/link for them to practise their times tables.

Reminders:

• Children are expected to read regularly at home and have their reading records signed. It is advised that they do this every evening.  Ten minutes a night will make such a difference! 

• PE this term will be on Thursday afternoon. The children will need to keep their kit in school until the end of the term when they will be able to bring it home to wash.

• Homework will be sent out on a Friday and this is to be completed either in their homework book or online and will be due back the following Wednesday.

• Spellings will be sent home on a Friday and children will need to learn these words for the following Friday.
